Monica’s Egg-Free Scrambler


1 block firm tofu

2 TBSP nutritional yeast

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp paprika

Garlic salt



Smash a block of firm tofu with a fork. Place in a skillet. Add remaining ingredients to tofu with enough water to get the desired consistency. (Usually 1-2 TBSP)


You can also sauté onions, garlic and other veggies first and create an omelet. I make up a batch of spices to have on hand when I want “eggs” and just mix with the tofu. I use 4 TBSP nutritional yeast and 1 tsp of turmeric, cumin and paprika. Salt and pepper to taste.
