Laura is a clinical nutritionist and Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) with a hands-on approach to nutrition therapy.
In 2015, she graduated number one in her program with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science from Morgan State University and subsequently completed her master’s degree in human nutrition and functional medicine at the University of Western States. Laura developed her holistic skills through a unique combination of experiences and education, working with clients both one on one and in groups and earning certifications as a life coach and personal trainer.
Laura describes herself as a diet and fitness industry “escapee,” achieving a master’s degree and CNS credential in order to practice science-based, personalized nutrition therapy to empower people to health. She specializes in behavior modification therapies and evidence-based nutritional therapies.
When not working with clients or devouring the latest functional medicine research, you can find Laura scouring thrift stores for buried treasures, walking her dog through the colonial neighborhoods of Baltimore, or trying her hand at international cooking.
Laura says, “Social connection and relationships are a forgotten medicine. My favorite way to keep friends and family close is by always providing the perfect drink to talk over.” Her home is filled with infusions, tinctures, and antique glassware sets, waiting at the ready for the next time a loved one comes to call.
